#Playlist: December

Another month gone, another playlist! Here’s what the hosts have been into in the month of December.

April (@aprilsalud):
It was the end of the year and for some reason I was just super into synthy, pop dance songs. Maybe as a way of celebrating? I had to kick off my list with my most recent obsession: Banks. I LOVE THIS GIRL. She’s going to be huge in 2014, I can tell. My synth love starts off with the awesome CHRVCHES, who Heather featured last month. And then it continues on with AlunaGeorge and Say Lou Lou. I do start to mellow out with the likes of George Ezra and my boss lady’s band Meghan & Lucas. And of course, I had to end the year of with Macklemore’s dance anthem. What a year.

For those concerned with the lack of Bastille on my playlist. Well, it’s because the song I couldn’t stop playing isn’t available on Spotify. But check it out here.

Heather (@NerdHeather):
Happy 2013! For my December I enjoyed a bunch of random crap  along with any song that mentioned the word December. Also, I saw a few movies so I added in a song from Inside Llewyn Davis and Arcade Fire’s “Wake Up” which was featured in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Been listening to a lot of Vampire Weekend plus anything a little emo for the winter months. And the best way to say goodbye to the year is Miley’s “FU”.
